Ukrainian mother and child killed in Germany: Foreign Ministry shares tragic details

A Ukrainian woman and her young daughter were found dead in Germany. Their bodies were discovered near their place of residence, RBC-Ukraine reports, referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
In the city of Dorsten (federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - ed.), on June 29, the bodies of two Ukrainian citizens were found - a woman born in 1992 and her daughter, who was less than a year old. According to the Consulate General of Ukraine in Düsseldorf, the victims' bodies were discovered near where they lived.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, already the next day, June 30, German police detained a 15-year-old Ukrainian citizen who came to the crime scene himself and confessed to committing the crime. A criminal proceeding has been opened in connection with the case. Law enforcement officers are currently establishing what kind of relationship the teenager had with the killed victims.
The consulate reported that it had contacted law enforcement agencies for additional information and is working to establish contact with the relatives of both the deceased and the detained individual. The case is under the special supervision of the diplomatic mission.
