The format of the Contact Group on Defense Issues for Ukraine (Ramstein format) has changed since September of this year. Currently, it is geared toward providing long-term support to our country, according to the Acting Head of the Department of International Defense Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Hennadii Kovalenko.

"Since September, we transitioned to the Ramstein 2.0 format. Ramstein 2.0 represents a shift from meeting immediate needs to more systematic, planned, and long-term work," Kovalenko explained.

He clarifies that within the new format, strategic long-term planning of assistance to Ukraine within coalition frameworks—aviation, anti-aircraft, tank, artillery coalitions, and the Black Sea security coalition—is being discussed.

On Wednesday, November 22, another meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues for Ukraine took place.

During the session, participants agreed to create a new coalition within the assistance framework for our country—anti-aircraft. France and Germany are leading this coalition.

As specified by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, 20 countries had already joined the coalition.
