The Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (SOF) have released a video showing the destruction of a Russian artillery depot. The depot was located in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, according to the SOF.
The depot was struck on the night of December 17 by front-strike SOF units. The targeted facility belonged to the 101st Separate Material and Technical Support Brigade of the 51st Russian Army.
The Luhansk region depot was hit by FP-2 strike drones, destroying a large quantity of enemy ammunition.
"This depot was actively used to supply ammunition and support the offensive capabilities of enemy forces. The Special Operations Forces continue to carry out asymmetric actions to undermine the offensive potential of the Russian army,” the statement said.
SOF drone strikes are causing significant losses for Russian forces. Recently, SOF operators used a strike drone to destroy a BM-27 Uragan multiple launch rocket system and its crew's location in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region.
Previously, SOF units carried out strikes on several Russian military targets in temporarily occupied areas of the Donetsk region and Crimea, including destroying a fuel train in transit.
On December 9, SOF released footage showing the destruction of several large Russian depots in temporarily occupied Donbas territories, leaving the Russian forces without drones and fuel. The following day, SOF published a video of the elimination of a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group in Pokrovsk, where heavy fighting is currently ongoing.
