Ukrainian military confirms strike on ammunition depot in Russia's Belgorod region

Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against Russian military targets on June 8 and during the night of June 9, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
An ammunition depot near Prokhorovka in Russia's Belgorod region was hit.
Ukrainian forces also struck enemy command posts in the areas of Mykilske and Shevchenko Pershe in the Donetsk region, Naumovka in Russia's Belgorod region, and Iskra in Russia's Kursk region.
The General Staff separately reported strikes on Russian drone control centers located near Shevchenko Pershe in the Donetsk region, Zaliznychne in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Oleshky in the Kherson region.
In addition, Ukraine's Defense Forces hit a Russian logistics hub near Fedorivka in the Donetsk region. Military supply warehouses were also struck near Mykhailivka in the Luhansk region and Hryunivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The strikes also targeted concentrations of Russian personnel in the areas of Kurakhove, Kalynove, Shevchenko, and Stupochky in the Donetsk region, Novohryhorivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Iskra in Russia's Kursk region.
At the same time, the General Staff updated the results of a strike carried out on June 5 in the area of the Port of Mariupol. According to revised data, eight fuel storage tanks were destroyed, and another nine were damaged.
"The Defense Forces of Ukraine will continue to systematically reduce the Russian aggressor's ability to wage war against Ukraine," the General Staff stated.
Earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported an explosion followed by secondary detonations at an ammunition depot near the village of Belovskoye in Russia's Belgorod region.
Residents reported seeing thick smoke rising above the facility and said nearby residential buildings and administrative structures were damaged.
