Ukrainian military achieves new successes in Melitopol direction: Ukrainian MoD states

The Ukrainian defense forces are achieving certain successes in the Melitopol direction, according to Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar.
"We have certain things in the Melitopol direction that we can't talk about, but things are active there, and there are certain successes. When the Armed Forces consolidate, we will be able to announce it publicly," she stated.
Maliar adds that the Ukrainian military's advance in the south continues.
"But the main thing we need to understand is that the offensive actions in the south continue at the pace planned by the Armed Forces and allowed by the situation," she explained.
Ukrainian military advances in the south
In the summer, Ukrainian forces intensified their offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region. Battles are taking place in two directions - the Melitopol and Berdyansk. Ukrainian defenders have breached the first line of the occupiers' defenses.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces are pushing against the enemy in the Bakhmut direction. The Ukrainian military is advancing south of Bakhmut. Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believe that Ukrainian fighters have displaced Russian forces from positions south of Bakhmut.
