Ukrainian intelligence disabled two Russian military vessels during the night of March 13–14 that were used to transport weapons and equipment across the Kerch Strait, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

Ferry destroyed, vessel damaged: consequences of the attack

Special forces of Ukraine’s military intelligence struck the rail ferry Slavyanin, putting it out of operation. The vessel Avangard sustained damage.

Both ships were part of the Kerch ferry crossing and were involved in supplying weapons, ammunition, and military equipment to the Russian army.

Strike on the Kavkaz port

During the same operation, intelligence officers together with other units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces also struck infrastructure at the Kavkaz port in Russia’s Krasnodar region.

Russia uses this port to support its war against Ukraine.

It is worth noting that the ferry Slavyanin had already been hit before. In the summer of 2024, it sustained significant damage in a Ukrainian strike.

Recently, the General Staff also reported a successful strike on the Kremniy El plant in Bryansk, which produced microchips for missiles.
