On the night of June 10, Russia carried out another attack on Kyiv using Shahed drones. The aviation of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) was involved in eliminating the consequences.

As a result of the Russian strikes, a large-scale fire broke out in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv. On the orders of the head of the department, Kyrylo Budanov, reconnaissance aircraft were called in to help deal with the aftermath.

"Two Ka-32 multi-purpose helicopters were involved in the operation. In difficult conditions of smoke and high temperatures, the crews made 40 water drops with a total volume of up to 120 tons," the HUR writes.

According to the commander of the aviation unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, codenamed Maestro, thanks to coordinated actions with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the fire was extinguished in three hours.

"Thanks to the coordinated actions of firefighters and aviation support, 3 industrial enterprises were saved," the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine adds.

Russian strikes on Ukraine on the night of June 10

On the night of June 10, Russian occupiers launched a large-scale attack against Ukraine. Russia struck Ukraine with:

  • 315 Shahed-type strike drones and drone simulators
  • 2 KN-23 ballistic missiles and 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles.

In the morning, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 284 air targets had been destroyed. According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Russian strike was one of the largest-scale attacks on Kyiv during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
