Cyber specialists from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine attacked several Russian TV channels. True videos about the war in Ukraine were shown on Russian television, according to the sources in the intelligence services.

According to RBC-Ukraine's sources in the Ukrainian intelligence, videos from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine were shown three times during prime time on the Russian TV channels Pervouralsk TV, Eurasia 360, Eurasia First Channel, and others. Some of the attacked channels are part of the media holding of local oligarch Andrey Komarov.

Russian cybersecurity specialists attempted to resolve the issue. However, their actions resulted in the suspension of broadcasts from nine Russian TV channels, including Eurasia 360, Eurasia First Channel, Pervouralsk TV, Lugansk 24, First Republican, SpB, Oplot, TV-3, and First Russian.

Sources emphasize that this did not prevent intelligence cyber specialists from maintaining access to the television companies' servers.

As a result, several TV channels were forced to cease broadcasting for an extended period after the attack, as indicated by public statements to viewers.

As of the morning of August 22, only Eurasia 360 and TV-3 have partially resumed operations. Broadcasting on other channels remains blocked.

Recently, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine conducted a large-scale cyberattack on Russian internet services, targeting the financial sector of Russia.

The attack lasted for a week, affecting the services of major Russian banks. The Ukrainian intelligence also targeted Russian internet providers, national payment systems, social networks, messaging apps, government resources, and dozens of other services. RBC-Ukraine's sources in the intelligence services emphasized that these resources were involved in supporting and financing the war against Ukraine.

Additionally, due to the extensive cyberattack by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, there were problems with the operation of ATMs in Russia.
