Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) forces destroyed a Russian Buk surface-to-air missile system in Zaporizhzhia region, the unit reported on Telegram.
"On December 6, 2025, on the occasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Day, fighters from the HUR special Prymary unit tracked and successfully struck a Russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system," the statement reads.
HUR noted that another expensive Russian air defense system was destroyed in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region near the settlement of Sviatotroitske.
Successful HUR operations
Over the past two weeks, the HUR special Prymary unit carried out eight precise strikes on key Russian targets in occupied Crimea, hitting a bomber, radars, and Russian logistics.
On December 4, drones destroyed a Russian MiG-29 multirole fighter stationed at Kacha military airfield.
Intelligence forces also successfully struck a high-value target in temporarily occupied Crimea: a Russian S-400 radar system.
