In December, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) fighters conducted a raid deep into Russian-occupied territory in the Zaporizhzhia direction, capturing prisoners.

"In December 2025, during a special operation in the Zaporizhzhia direction, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Bratstvo (Brotherhood - ed.) unit, which is part of the Timur Special Forces, carried out a deep raid into the enemy's rear in the area of the Kakhovka Reservoir," the HUR says.

During the combat sortie, military intelligence officers eliminated 2 Russian troops, wounded 2, and took 2 more prisoners.

After that, the Bratstvo fighters carried out a complex and lengthy escort of the prisoners for a distance of about 27 kilometers and brought them to territory controlled by Ukraine.

Special operation results

The captured Russians provided valuable information about the locations of Russian officers, artillery positions, drone operators, and areas where personnel, equipment, and ammunition depots were concentrated.

According to the HUR, the operation confirmed the existence of serious gaps in Russia's frontline defense system: Russia does not expect active actions by Ukrainian reconnaissance troops deep inside their positions and is unable to offer effective resistance in the rear.

HUR special operations

HUR fighters near the temporarily occupied Berdyansk in the Zaporizhzhia region eliminated Kadyrovites who had organized an illegal business with stolen fuel.

Also, recently, the HUR strike drones in the temporarily occupied Crimea eliminated several radar complexes and a Russian ship-based helicopter.

In addition, on the night of November 1-2, the HUR attacked the command post of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile division, which was in a combat position, as well as the Russian multifunctional 92N6E radar station in Crimea.
