Ukrainian intelligence attacks oil depot and gunpowder plant in Russia
Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot in the Bryansk region and the Tambov gunpowder plant. Both attacks were a successful operation of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, according to the intelligence sources.
Oil depot in Bryansk region
Today, local Telegram channels posted footage of a fire at an oil depot in the city of Klintsy, Bryansk region. According to an RBC-Ukraine source in the security services, this is the result of a successful operation by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
The attack on the oil depot was confirmed by the governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz. But, according to his version, the Russian military "managed to suppress the drone with electronic warfare," but when it was destroyed, the drone managed to drop a munition on the oil depot. As a result, fuel tanks caught fire. Traditionally, the Russians claimed "no casualties".
As can be seen from the video, the fire at the Rosneft-owned oil depot is significant, with a huge column of black smoke rising from the site.
Tambov gunpowder plant
In addition, today Russians began to complain about the attack on the Tambov gunpowder plant, located in the Russian city of Kotovsk, where gunpowder for weapons and ammunition is produced.
RBC-Ukraine's sources also confirm that the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine was behind the attack.
Meanwhile, local Telegram channels write that the drone allegedly "crashed" on the territory of the gunpowder plant, in particular on the site near the gunpowder mixing shop.
Tambov Powder Plant is one of Russia's largest producers of small arms powder and artillery ammunition. After the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, according to pro-Kremlin media, the company increased production by 34%. Since January 2023, the plant has been part of the state-owned Rostec Corporation.
Yesterday, according to RBC-Ukraine's intelligence sources, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine managed to attack an oil depot in St. Petersburg.
In addition, during the UAV raid on Russia, one of the drones flew over the residence of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, located in Valdai.
