During the attack on the oil depot in St. Petersburg that happened tonight, one of the drones flew over the residence of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Valdai, according to the source in the special services.

Earlier sources reported that the drone attack on the oil depot in the Leningrad region was a special operation of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU).

In particular, one of the drones flew over Valdai, where the estate of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is located. In particular, this residence and the surrounding area are covered by air defense systems.

However, the source of RBC-Ukraine emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces constantly work on improving the technical capabilities of drones, allowing them to reach Russian rear areas.

Also, the interlocutor, in a comment to the agency, noted that from now on, military objects in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region are "within the reach of Ukrainian forces."

Attack on the oil depot in St. Petersburg

Today, the Russian side announced a so-called "attempted attack" on the oil depot in St. Petersburg. However, sources of RBC-Ukraine in the special services confirmed the attack, stating that it was a special operation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, which was successful. In addition, the interlocutor stated that there is evidence of hits on targets.

At the same time, according to information from the pro-Russian side, the UAV allegedly crashed and exploded on the territory of the oil depot. The consequences of the attack in Russia are traditionally being downplayed.

The oil and gas company Petersburg Oil Terminal is involved. This is the largest Russian terminal for transshipment of oil products in the Baltic region.

Russians complain that drones supposedly reached the Leningrad region for the first time, which is located more than 800 km directly from the border with Ukraine.

But as clarified by the source of RBC-Ukraine, this is not the first time it happened, and added that there were "differences and the enemy felt them."
