During the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have eliminated an additional 580 Russian terrorists. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has reportedly lost approximately 282,280 personnel, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The general combat losses of the adversary from February 24, 2022, to October 8, 2023, are estimated to be as follows:

  • personnel - approximately 282,280 (+580);

  • tanks - 4,821 (+21);

  • APVs - 9,123 (+21);

  • artillery systems - 6,705 (+17);

  • rocket systems - 808 (+2);

  • anti-aircraft missile systems - 542 (+1);

  • aircraft - 315;

  • helicopters - 316;

  • tactical UAVs - 5,190 (+5);

  • cruise missiles - 1,530;

  • ships/boats - 20;

  • submarines - 1;

  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 9,111 (+38);

  • special equipment - 959 (+3).

Situation on the front

As analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) report, over the past day, Ukrainian forces have continued their offensive operations near Bakhmut and in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region. They have managed to make progress in both directions.

Meanwhile, Russia may attempt to leverage the Hamas militant attack on Israel for their own informational operations.
