Ukrainian General Staff confirms strike on Kotluban arsenal housing Iranian missiles
Last night, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Kotluban military arsenal in Russia. A convoy carrying Iranian missiles arrived there just before the strike, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, a strike was carried out on the arsenal for the storage and modernization of missile and artillery weapons of the Russian occupiers. The facility is located near the village of Kotluban in Russia's Volgograd region.
"According to available information, a convoy carrying Iranian missiles arrived at the arsenal just before the strike," the statement said.
The General Staff noted that the military facility was heavily covered by electronic warfare and air defense systems; however, Ukrainian units successfully completed the combat mission. A fire and detonation of ammunition have been observed at the arsenal.
"The operation was conducted by drone units in coordination with the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and the Security Service of Ukraine," the General Staff clarified.
They also added that the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to undermine the enemy's military potential.
It is worth noting that sources from RBC-Ukraine reported that 120 Ukrainian-made drones were used for the attack.
According to sources in Ukrainian intelligence, the arsenal was attacked around 2:30 AM on Sunday, September 29. The target was over 600 kilometers away.
