Ukrainian general arrives at front and speaks on Ukrainian Army's successes in east

The commander of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group of Troops, Oleksandr Syrskii, arrived at the frontline. He spoke about the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the east and awarded the military, according to the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military managed to thwart the enemy's plans to seize new territories and settlements, prevent its advance, and create conditions for further actions to liberate our land from the Russian occupiers.
"The defenders of the Eastern Front are inflicting irreparable losses on the enemy and reliably holding the lines of defense," the statement says.
The General also awarded Ukrainian defenders with state and departmental awards on the contact line for their courage, sacrifice, and heroism.
Frontline situation
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the positions of the Ukrainian military near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia direction on February 4. The village was liberated from the Russian occupiers in August 2023.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military repelled 44 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka direction, held their positions, and repelled the Russian occupation forces' assaults in the Kherson direction. The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck at 5 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
In particular, according to the Institute of War Studies, Russian troops have moved five to seven kilometers closer to Chasiv Yar over an unspecified period, recently advancing east of Avdiivka and northwest of Maryinka.
At the same time, the Avdiivka City Military Administration said that Russian invaders entered several houses in a cottage complex near Avdiivka. However, there are no street battles in the city so far.
