Ukrainian Foreign Ministry denies knowing about call between Trump and Putin - Reuters
A few hours ago, it was reported that Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Vladimir Putin, during which they discussed the war, and Ukraine was allegedly informed in advance. However, Kyiv has denied this information, reports Reuters.
According to The Washington Post, citing sources, newly elected US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation on Thursday, November 7, during which they discussed the war in Ukraine. The Washington Post stated that Kyiv was informed about the call and did not object to it taking place.
However, Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Heorhii Tykhiy told Reuters that this information was false and that the Ukrainian side was unaware of the conversation.
"Reports that the Ukrainian side was informed in advance of the alleged call are false. Subsequently, Ukraine could not have endorsed or opposed the call," he stated.
