On Saturday, November 15, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out reconnaissance and strike operations near Pokrovsk, inflicting losses on Russian personnel and equipment, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian forces, having failed to complete any strategic objectives this year, are trying to push through Ukrainian defenses to claim some form of "success."
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue defensive operations, conducting targeted reconnaissance and strike actions in selected sectors of the front, including the Pokrovsk area.
"Yesterday, as part of our troops' actions in the Pokrovsk direction, the search and destruction of enemy forces were conducted over 26.6 square kilometers of the Pokrovsk district in Donetsk region," the General Staff stated.
During the fighting, Ukrainian forces eliminated 39 enemy combatants, bringing Russia's total losses to 60 personnel. The enemy also lost 16 units of weapons and military equipment.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian troops continued to strike enemy deployment sites, combat positions, and rear areas.
"Over the past day, enemy losses totaled 204 personnel, 12 artillery systems, including Uragan multiple rocket launchers, and 45 units of other military equipment," the General Staff added.
The General Staff emphasized that the main objectives remain destroying the enemy and its reserves while undermining Russia's offensive potential.
"Thanks to the professional actions of Ukrainian soldiers, Russia's losses in 2025 have already exceeded 367,460 personnel. We express gratitude to our defenders for their resilience and effectiveness. Every eliminated enemy is a step toward a just peace," the General Staff concluded.
