Ukrainian forces are carrying out search-and-assault operations and eliminating enemy forces in the urban area of Pokrovsk, according to the Facebook page of the Operation Task Force East.

"In Pokrovsk, search-and-assault operations and elimination of the enemy in the urban area are ongoing. In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian units are holding defensive lines and neutralizing the enemy on the approaches to the city," the military said.

Additional logistical routes to Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad have been organized to ensure uninterrupted supply for the Ukrainian units.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces in the area of responsibility of the East group repelled 82 attacks by Russian forces.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian units stopped 45 assaults launched by the enemy toward Novo-Shakhove, Novopavlivka, and in the areas of Hryshyne, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and Dachne.

Over the last day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated a total of 110 Russian soldiers in the Pokrovsk direction, including 83 permanently.

Additionally, seven vehicles and special equipment units, one motorcycle, 26 drones, as well as an artillery installation and 12 shelters housing Russian troops, were destroyed.

Fighting for Pokrovsk

The epicenter of battles in Donetsk region has long remained the Pokrovsk direction. Russian forces are attempting to encircle Pokrovsk from several directions and are sending additional troops there.

According to the Air Assault Forces, Russian forces are mainly concentrated in the south of Pokrovsk, with small groups throughout the urban area. The enemy attacks Defense Forces positions around the clock and suffers heavy losses.

Colonel Vladyslav Seleznov of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that Russia has concentrated over 140,000 troops in the Pokrovsk direction.

Recently, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Ukrainian units continue to hold the northern part of Pokrovsk. The battle for the city is ongoing.
