Ukrainian Special Operations Forces successfully cleared enemy positions in a forested area in the Northern-Slobozhanskyi direction, according to the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO).

As the command reported, the operation was conducted "quietly," without unnecessary noise or casualties among personnel. Thanks to the high professionalism of the special forces and coordinated actions, all objectives were completed accurately and effectively.

This operation demonstrates the ability of Ukrainian SSO to quickly and safely neutralize enemy positions, securing an advantage on the front.

About the Special Operations Forces

The Special Operations Forces (SSO) are an elite component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, carrying out the most complex, high-risk, and critical missions on the frontlines and behind enemy lines.

SSO personnel undergo rigorous selection and extended training, enabling them to conduct reconnaissance, carry out sabotage operations, neutralize enemy command posts, destroy equipment, and operate under maximum secrecy. They are often deployed where other units cannot complete missions deep behind enemy lines, during special raids, or in precision operations.

Fighting for Kupiansk

In September, Russian soldiers broke through to Kupiansk using a gas pipeline, significantly worsening the situation in this direction. Enemy sabotage groups entered the town from the north.

Subsequently, Ukrainian forces destroyed the pipeline used by the Russians, forcing them to cross the Oskil River on rafts and boats.

Ukrainian troops are preventing Russian soldiers from establishing positions in northern Kupiansk. Despite Russian attempts to hold positions and fortify, the Ukrainian forces conduct active counterattacks, pushing the enemy out of occupied lines.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently stated that Ukraine plans to fully liberate Kupiansk from Russian forces.
