On October 16 and during the night of October 17, Ukrainian forces struck a railway bridge across the Unecha River in Russia, as well as warehouses and a drone command post in the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck several targets that the Russian army uses to support its troops.
In particular, near the village of Sloboda-Seletskaya in Russia's Bryansk region, a railway bridge across the Unecha River was reported to have been destroyed.
The strike is expected to disrupt rail transport for Russian forces, particularly the delivery of ammunition, fuel, and military equipment.
In the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces attacked Russian army logistics depots. Strikes were recorded in the areas of Novoandriivka, Mykilske, and Mariupol.
In addition, near Malynivka in the Donetsk region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian drone control center.
"Operations against key Russian targets will continue until Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine ceases completely," Ukraine's General Staff emphasizes.
On the night of October 16, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the 55Zh6U Nebo-U radar station near the village of Magri in the Krasnodar Krai of Russia.
In addition, on October 13 and during the night of October 14, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a storage, preparation, and launch site for Russian drones in the Donetsk region, near the city of Donetsk. The Russian logistics depots near Popova Balka and Hirnyk were also targeted.
