On the night of July 31, the Ukrainian military attacked a Russian arms and military equipment storage facility near Kursk, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Today's night (July 31 - ed.), a strike was made on a storage facility for weapons and military equipment near Kursk (Russia),” the statement said.

According to the military, enemy air defense operated, and explosions were heard at targeting points.

“The combat work was carried out by certain units from the forces and means of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces. Detailed information on the result of the attack is being clarified,” the General Staff added.

Drone attack in Russia

On July 31, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported allegedly 19 downed drones and one missile. Air defense shot down 11 aircraft-type drones over the Belgorod region, four over the Bryansk region, and one each over the Kursk, Kaluga, Rostov regions, and Crimea.

A fire broke out at one of the facilities in the Kursk region of Russia after a UAV attack. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a Neptune-MD guided missile was destroyed over the Kursk region.
