Ukrainian defenders are carrying out countermeasures in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Over the past day, Russian invaders failed to make any advances in the area, according to Hryhorii Shapoval, an officer of the communications department of the Eastern military group.

According to him, countermeasures are being taken in the Dnipropetrovsk region — there were no recorded advances of Russian occupiers on Saturday, October 4.

At the same time, Shapoval reported that Russia carried out two airstrikes using 250-kilogram high-explosive aerial bombs (FABs) in the Synelnykove district area.

Fighting in the Dnipropetrovsk region

Recently, the Russian forces made a statement and published a propaganda video online claiming to have captured the settlement of Verbove in the Dnipropetrovsk region. However, this information is not true.

The Command of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade reported that a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group (SRG) had infiltrated Verbove. Their goal was to film a staged video showing the installation of a Russian flag.

The occupiers were defeated, and currently, Verbove remains under the control of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

Earlier, the Russians also claimed to have captured the village of Kalynivske in the Dnipropetrovsk region, but this information is also false.

However, Russia did manage to occupy five villages in the Dnipropetrovsk region: Novoheorhiivka, Zaporizke, Sichneve (Yanuarske), Maliivka, and Vorona.

Currently, Ukraine’s Defense Forces are holding their positions in seven other settlements, where intense fighting continues.
