Ukrainian forces are holding defensive positions in Myrnohrad, Donetsk region. Measures are being taken to expand logistical corridors to the city to strengthen supply capabilities, the Operation Task Force East reported.
In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian soldiers are holding defensive lines and eliminating the enemy on the approaches to the city. To contain the enemy, the city's defense has been reinforced with additional forces and assets.
"Logistics remain difficult. To strengthen our supply capabilities, measures are being taken to expand the logistics corridors to Myrnograd," Operation Task Force East said in a statement.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces stopped 33 assault actions by Russian troops in the areas of Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Filiia, and Hryshyne, as well as toward Novopavlivka, Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Novopidhordodne, Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, and Serhiivka.
Over the past day in this direction, 84 Russian troops were neutralized, 53 of them irreversibly.
Ukrainian defenders destroyed 15 units of automotive equipment, 26 drones, seven units of special equipment, and two quad bikes.
In addition, one artillery system, three vehicles, one quad bike, two units of special equipment, two UAV control points, and 12 enemy personnel shelters were hit.
As emphasized by Operation Task Force East, Ukrainian units continue to control the northern part of Pokrovsk. In the city's central area, the military is blocking enemy advances, conducting search-and-assault operations, and eliminating the enemy in urban conditions.
Situation in Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk
The Defense Forces of Ukraine maintain control over the northern part of Pokrovsk, and all attempts by Russian troops to break through the defenses north of the railway remain unsuccessful.
In Myrnohrad, the operational situation remains difficult. Units of the Air Assault Forces and the Marine Corps are involved in defending the city. The Defense Forces continue to reinforce their grouping to contain pressure from the northeastern and southern directions.
This has been made possible by control over the logistical corridor in the area of Svitle and Rivne.
