Russian forces are attempting to break into Pokrovsk using sabotage and assault groups. However, Ukrainian forces are repelling these attempts, eliminating enemy units down to the last soldier, according to the press service of the 7th Air Assault Corps, which also released footage of the Russian forces being destroyed.

For over a month, Russian forces have been attempting to infiltrate Pokrovsk using small sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs). They hope to amass enough manpower in the city to carry out further offensive operations.

Ukrainian troops — brigades of the 7th Air Assault Corps and adjacent Defense Forces units — are monitoring these attempts and promptly stopping them. Russian groups are being eliminated to the last soldier thanks to the constant operation of drones, reconnaissance tools, and, when necessary, ground troops finishing the job.

At the same time, Armed Forces units continue to track and closely monitor all possible points of Russian infiltration into Pokrovsk. As of now, the city is free of Russian DRGs and is 100% under the control of Ukrainian forces.

Situation near Pokrovsk

Recently, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) attempted to break through into Pokrovsk. All Russian forces remained outside the city and were eliminated by Ukrainian troops.

The Operational-Tactical Group Donetsk stated that the Defense Forces are carrying out active measures against enemy DRGs in Pokrovsk. According to the military, the sabotage groups are being destroyed before they can even approach the city.

In response to their ongoing failures, Russian forces have begun spreading false claims about the supposed "encirclement of Ukrainian units" in Pokrovsk. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has denied these claims.
