Ukrainian Forces detonate explosives in Toretsk, Donetsk region, killing Russians

In Toretsk, Donetsk region, Ukrainian soldiers planted explosives in a high-rise building and blew up Russian assault troops, according to the operational-strategic group of troops Khortytsia.
"Soldiers of the security battalion carried out a risky operation to destroy the Russian infantry that had gathered in one of the residential buildings in Toretsk," the report states.
Intelligence data revealed the enemy had concentrated forces in one building and was planning to conduct an assault.
Soldiers of the 4th Security Battalion of the 101st separate security brigade of the General Staff, named after Colonel General Hennadiy Vorobyov, acted preemptively and prevented Russian forces from carrying out their plan. They mined the multi-story building with anti-tank mines in broad daylight.
Ukrainian infantry were covered by a machine gunner from an armored vehicle. The soldiers planted the explosives in the building and retreated. Soon after, the explosives were detonated.
"As a result of the operation, the enemy assault group ceased to exist. The final stop of their miserable lives was the basement of a multi-story building in the Ukrainian city of Toretsk," the military stated.
Russia's losses in war
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 908,000 troops.
In just the past 24 hours, the Russian army's losses amounted to 1,670 soldiers. Additionally, yesterday, the Defense Forces destroyed 8 tanks, 16 armored fighting vehicles, 58 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
