The 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade reports destroying a Russian Su-25 aircraft in the Toretsk sector of the frontline.

"The soldiers of the 28th Brigade destroyed an enemy Su-25! One less Russian attack aircraft in the Toretsk sector thanks to our air defense soldiers," the statement says.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian soldiers have already destroyed 369 Russian army aircraft since the beginning of the full-scale war. The Armed Forces have also shot down 331 Russian helicopters.

Fighting in Toretsk

Heavy fighting has been taking place in Toretsk, Donetsk region, in recent months. Recently, the Russians announced the alleged capture of the town, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces denied this information.

Nazar Voloshyn, a spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group of troops, told RBC-Ukraine on February 7 that battles are taking place in the urban area in Toretsk. According to him, the Russians outnumber Ukrainian forces and continue the so-called "meat assaults."

The DeepState analytical project also noted that hostilities continue in Toretsk.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a morning briefing that over the past day in the Toretsk sector, the Russians carried out ten attacks in the Toretsk area.
