What is happening in Kursk region

Last week, Russians reported about a border breakthrough in the Kursk region. Fighting continues in the areas bordering Ukraine.

The Russian regime introduced a counterterrorist operation in the Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions. All along, the Kremlin tried to downplay the scale of the operation in the Kursk region.

The Ukrainian command did not comment on the events in the Kursk region for several days, but videos of Ukrainian soldiers in Russian settlements were posted online.

Yesterday, the head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the Ukrainian military had taken control of 40 square kilometers and controlled 74 settlements in the Kursk region.
