Ukrainian FM on US talks in Saudi Arabia: Great opportunity to advance peace

The ongoing meeting between top officials from Ukraine and the United States in Saudi Arabia presents a significant opportunity for peace and the strengthening of strategic ties between Kyiv and Washington, stated Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on X.
"We see this meeting as a great opportunity to advance peace and develop the Ukraine-US strategic partnership," he emphasized.
According to him, the constructive atmosphere of the meeting proves that Ukraine can use the opportunity to promote peace.
"Ukraine wants peace as no one else," he added.
Ukraine and the US meet in Saudi Arabia
Today, March 11, Ukrainian and American officials are meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. They are discussing peace between Ukraine and Russia, as well as Kyiv's bilateral relations with Washington.
So far, there are no details of the discussions between Ukraine and the United States. National Security Advisor Mike Volz briefly said that the talks are progressing.
For his part, the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, said that work with the United States is ongoing.
It is known that the talks have been going on for more than seven hours.
