Ukrainian FM discusses bilateral relations potential with Vietnamese counterpart

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held phone talks with Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son. They discussed, among other things, the potential for bilateral relations between the two countries, according to Sybiha’s post on X.
"I had a call with Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Vietnam. We discussed the potential of our bilateral relations and the need to intensify high-level dialogue," Sybiha reported.
The Minister noted that Ukraine and Vietnam are working to strengthen international support for achieving a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace.
In December 2022, it was reported that Vietnam was rapidly reducing its dependence on Russian weapons and might begin exporting domestically produced arms, with potential buyers in Africa, Asia, and possibly even Moscow.
