The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced its 2026 nominees, including the Ukrainian documentary 2000 Meters to Andriivka by director Mstyslav Chernov. The film is competing in the Documentary category.
Actors Amy Lou Wood and David Jonsson revealed the nominees across 25 categories during a live broadcast.
Separately, on January 14, the nominees for the Rising Star award were announced. The list includes Archie Madekwe, Chase Infiniti, Miles Caton, Posy Sterling, and Robert Aramayo. This award is unique because it is voted on by the British public and traditionally honors a young actor or actress with a standout debut.
The BAFTA awards ceremony will take place on February 22 at London’s Royal Festival Hall. The event will be broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer, with actor, writer, and producer Alan Cumming hosting the evening.
