Ukrainian entrepreneur Nadiia Chorna vies for Mrs. World International crown in US

Nadiia Chorna, who lost her business in Kherson, is preparing to represent Ukraine at the international beauty contest Mrs. World International, where she is already going with the title of Mrs. Ukraine Premier.
What is known about the Ukrainian woman
"I want the world to see the beauty of a Ukrainian woman not only on the outside but also from within: our strength, tenderness, and incredible resilience. These past three years have shown how much Ukrainian women are doing both in Ukraine and beyond: we support families, help soldiers, work to keep the economy going, and at the same time remain mothers who care about the safety of their children," said Nadiia.
"With my participation, I want to remind people not only about the war in Ukraine. There are many wars in the world right now. And it is very important that the world remembers what wars lead to, by looking at the example of Ukraine, and that people reflect on how each of them can oppose war," she noted.
Chorna not only wants to win the main crown of the competition but also to use this platform to promote Ukrainian culture, charitable projects, and stories about Ukraine on the world stage.

"For me, this is not just a beauty contest but also an opportunity to talk about Ukraine at the international level. When I step on stage with the Ukrainian flag in my heart, I tell about our country, about what we are going through, and about how we are fighting. It is another way to remind the world about our reality, about the strength of our people, and in particular about the role of Ukrainian women in this struggle," the Ukrainian explained.
"I communicate with people and the media, talk about Ukraine, and prepare a national costume that will convey our authenticity. For me, victory is not only the crown but also how many people after the competition will remember Ukraine and feel that they can support us," she added.
It is worth noting that participation in the competition involves judging not only appearance but also professional achievements, charisma, talents, social activity, and personal values.
Nadiia was born and raised in Mykolaiv. Together with her husband, she has been running a business for over two decades. She considers teamwork and trust key to her success in business. With the beginning of the full-scale war, Chorna has been volunteering and helping refugees. One of her projects operated on the front line, while another ended up in occupation.
"Running a business on the front line for six months was extremely difficult: in the first days, tanks were moving through the city, and later explosions were heard daily. The situation resembled Kharkiv, as Mykolaiv heroically held the defense, not allowing the enemy to pass to Odesa," Chorna's team said.
"Today, Nadiia's team continues to work from Mykolaiv itself, supporting the development of the city's business and community. She considers family her greatest value. Her daughter, Sofia, speaks five languages and has significant achievements in sports and academics. Nadiia is passionate about traveling (she has visited more than 50 countries), art, architecture, playing the piano, collecting European porcelain, sports, and cooking," her representatives added.
