The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked several important Russian targets in the Tver region. In particular, a missile arsenal was under attack, according to sources in the SSU.

Attack on the missile arsenal

According to sources, the target of the drones from the SSU and the Special Operations Forces was the 23rd missile arsenal of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the Tver region. The drones struck the arsenal itself, as well as three buildings of the military unit.

The sources specify that local residents counted over 20 explosions. They also complained about the evacuation of the population in local chat groups.

Attack on the oil pumping station

In addition to the arsenal, the sources added, the drones also attacked the Andreapol oil pumping station. It is an important component of the Baltic Pipeline System-2.

As a result of the strike, the station's filtration pumping platform was damaged, along with tanks containing additives. There was a spill of oil products and a fire. The Russians even had to stop the main pipeline that supplies oil to the Ust-Luga terminal in the Leningrad region.

"The SSU, together with the Defense Forces, continues to target military and logistical objects on enemy territory, reducing its ability to wage war against Ukraine. Drone strikes are proving their effectiveness. Their use will continue," emphasized an informed source in the SSU.

Attack on the arsenal in Toropets

In September of last year, it was reported about a successful attack by Ukrainian defenders on the enemy’s missile arsenal in Toropets (Tver region).

Sources in the GUR (Defense Intelligence) claimed that as a result of the attack, large stockpiles of North Korean ballistic missiles KN23, as well as ammunition for the S-300 and Grad systems, were destroyed.
