Ukrainian drones hit two more Russian shadow fleet tankers

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have raised the number of Russian shadow fleet tankers struck since the start of the day to 12, according to Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.

"Madyar" revealed that two more vessels from Russia's so-called shadow fleet had been struck.
"The Birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces have just hit two more tankers in the Sea of Azov. They are numbers 9 and 10 hit today," Brovdi wrote.
He later added that Ukraine had raised the total number of similar vessels struck since the start of the day to 12.
The commander added that the eighth tanker hit in the Sea of Azov during a nighttime drone operation by the Kairos unit of the 414th Separate Brigade ("Madyar's Birds") is named the MS IVAN CHEREMISINOV.
What other targets in Crimea were hit by Ukrainian drones
According to Madyar, drones also struck five electrical substations and one gas distribution station on Monday.
Overall, between July 1 and July 7, the Unmanned Systems Forces hit 44 energy facilities across Crimea and the southern part of the Russian-occupied territories. The following electrical substations were hit in the Ukrainian attacks:
- Chkalove 35/10 kV substation, Chkalove, Crimea;
- West Crimean 330 kV substation, Karierne, Crimea;
- Saky 110 kV substation, Saky, Crimea;
- Kamysh-Burun 220 kV substation, Kerch, Crimea;
- Mytiaieve 110 kV substation, Mytiaieve, Crimea.
A gas compressor station in Tasunovo, Crimea, was also reported to have been hit.
According to "Madyar", Ukrainian drones overnight on July 7 struck eight fuel tankers, one cargo vessel, and one ferry belonging to Russia's shadow fleet. All of the vessels are under international sanctions.
Since the beginning of July 2026, Ukrainian drones have struck 37 energy facilities in Crimea and the Donbas.
