Ukrainian drones hit Shahed launch site in Krasnodar region

SBU drones struck the Shahed launch airfield in Russia’s Krasnodar region overnight on August 2. The target was the military airfield in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, used by Russian forces to launch Shahed drones against Ukraine, according to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
According to the agency, the first target of Ukraine’s long-range drones that night was the military airfield in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Krasnodar region. The strike hit the locations where Shahed drones were stored and launched.
A fire broke out near the airfield following the SBU drone strikes.
Drones also attacked the Elektroppribor plant in Penza, which serves the Russian military-industrial complex.
The plant produces equipment for digital networks in military control systems, instruments for aviation, armored vehicles, ships, and spacecraft. According to the SBU, smoke was observed in the area following the explosions.

Night strike on Russia
As reported, explosions were heard in several Russian regions overnight on August 2. Loud blasts were reported in Lipetsk, Ryazan, Penza, and Samara regions.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed hits on the Ryazan and Novokuibyshevsk oil refineries, as well as the fuel and lubricants base "Anna Neftprodukt" in Voronezh region.
Ukrainian military officials noted that this was a response to terrorist attacks on Ukrainian cities.
