Drones of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck a Russian border patrol ship of the Svetlyak class in temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as several other important enemy targets, according to the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert Madyar Brovdi.

On the night of May 4, Ukrainian drones struck the border patrol ship Svetlyak of Project 10410 in the settlement of Yurkine (Crimea).

The ship, 49.5 meters long, is designed to control and protect ports and vessels, create a tactical air-defense line, and conduct anti-submarine warfare.

Armament: 16 sets of Igla MANPADS, an AK-176 artillery mount, 14.5 mm machine-gun mounts, and six-barreled anti-aircraft guns.

The crew consists of 28 servicemen; autonomy is 10 days (2200 miles).

Also that night, the Unmanned Systems Forces struck:

  • Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system in the settlement of Strilkove, Kherson region;
  • Short-range navigation radio-technical system RSB-N4N in the settlement of Saky, Crimea;
  • Locomotives in the settlements of Vladyslavivka and Rozdolne, Crimea;
  • Transformers in the settlements of Bulavynske and Vuhlehirsk, Donetsk region;
  • Fuel tanks in Makiivka, Donetsk region.

Strikes on Russian ships

On June 3, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck ships and infrastructure facilities in the port of Kronstadt in the Leningrad region of Russia.

The corvette Boykiy was hit. The strike on this vessel reduces the combat capabilities of the Russian fleet and demonstrates Ukraine’s ability to strike military targets even at significant distances.

Also on the night of May 23, Ukrainian military forces carried out a drone strike on the naval base in Novorossiysk. Two ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet were hit in the strike zone — the frigate Admiral Essen and a surface-effect missile ship of Project 1239.
