Ukrainian driver Oleksandr Bondarev will take part in the second stage of the F1 GP Trophy, which will be held from December 5 to 7 at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. This will be Bondarev's first appearance during a Formula 1 weekend. Here are the days when the Ukrainian driver competes.

Acceleration before the "royal race"

The second stage of the F1 GP Trophy, featuring 28 drivers in Formula 4 cars, is part of the Formula 1 race weekend.

The F1 GP Trophy is a significant stepping stone for young drivers, with participants from racing academies and juniors from around the world.

This is the first time in his career that the Ukrainian will compete at such a high-level event, directly accompanying the "royal race" weekend. He will drive for the Mumbai Falcons team.

Currently, his participation is confirmed only for this stage. A decision regarding his involvement in the third stage of the series has not yet been made.

Dominance in practice sessions

Oleksandr Bondarev started the race weekend with an impressive result. During the official practice on December 5, he set the fastest time on the track, beating his nearest competitor by nearly two-tenths of a second.

This confirms his strong readiness to compete for the top positions.

Key starts and weekend schedule

The races take place on the 5.281-kilometre Yas Marina Circuit, with each race limited to 30 minutes plus one final lap.

  • December 5 (Friday): Qualification results will be crucial, starting at 1:55 PM Kyiv time.
  • December 6 (Saturday): The first stage race will start at 10:30 AM Kyiv time.
  • December 7 (Sunday): The final second race will begin at 09:20 AM Kyiv time.
