Ukrainian defense minister unveils details of Slovakia's aid package

Ukraine will receive five Bozena demining vehicles and other equipment as part of a new military aid package from Slovakia, according to Ukraine's Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"An agreement on the transfer of non-lethal equipment and machinery was signed with Slovakia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Robert Kaliňák," his post says.
According to him, Slovakia will provide Ukraine free of charge with engineering and construction equipment, including Bozena vehicles, transport, demining systems, and medical evacuation equipment.
"During the meeting, I thanked my Slovak colleague for the assistance that saves Ukrainian lives. We feel Slovakia’s support on our path toward a just and lasting peace," the minister added.
Shmyhal also expressed gratitude for the aid packages Slovakia has already provided. The country is now preparing its fifteenth support package.
The two ministers also discussed prospects for cooperation between Ukrainian and Slovak companies.
Slovakia's aid to Ukraine
Earlier, Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliňák said Slovakia is preparing a new military support package for Ukraine, which will include engineering and demining assistance.
"I am very pleased to announce that, together with Minister Shmyhal, we have just signed a memorandum on the 14th aid package, which provides for Slovakia to supply engineering and mine-clearing assistance to Ukraine,” Kaliňák said.
He emphasized that he is in Kyiv today to work with his Ukrainian counterpart, Denys Shmyhal, to identify potential projects for expanding "our already quite comprehensive defense cooperation."
