The Ukrainian Defense Forces have driven the Russian troops out of the town of Odradne and its surrounding areas in the Kharkiv region. This was achieved thanks to the coordinated efforts of assault troops, drone operators, and artillery, according to the 129th Heavy Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"As a result of a planned operation, the Ukrainian Defense Forces cleared the village of Odradne of the Kharkiv region and regained control of it along with the surrounding area," the statement reads.

Units of the 129th Heavy Mechanized Brigade carried out assault operations, inflicted fire damage on the Russians, and drove the Russian troops out of forest belts, fortified positions, and strongpoints.

Assault units, drone operators, and artillery were involved in the mission. Thanks to their coordinated efforts, Russian personnel, their firepower, and their cover were systematically identified, engaged, and destroyed.

"This advance was the result of the courage, endurance, and professional work of Ukrainian soldiers who carry out combat missions every day," emphasizes the 129th Mechanized Brigade.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi noted that the Oleksandrivka sector remained one of the toughest on the front line. At the same time, he stated that Ukrainian forces were achieving successes there.

The Institute for the Study of War stated that Russia had failed to achieve any significant operational breakthrough on the front over the past year. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have built on their successes in the winter and spring of 2026.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently visited the front lines and met with soldiers from a brigade fighting on one of the most active fronts at the junction of three regions.
