Ukrainian defenders drive Russian troops out of Novyi Komar in Donetsk region
Ukrainian troops regained control over Novyi Komar village in the Donetsk region. Russian occupants were driven out of the village, says Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops.
“Russian was driven out of the village and Novyi Komar, located in Volnovakha district of Donetsk region and part of Velykonovosilkivska settlement community, is under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” he says.
Return of control over Novyi Komar to Ukrainian Armed Forces
On the morning of December 5, DeepState analysts wrote that the Ukrainian military had driven the Russians out of the village of Novyi Komar, located in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region. In particular, fighters of the 48th Separate Special Forces Brigade named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan took part in the recapture of the village.
“The Russian occupiers suffered heavy losses, many fled to the highway. Russian marines from the 40th Brigade of Russia were captured,” the statement says.
