Denmark will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 1.1 billion kroner to support the training of Ukrainian troops, naval needs, and equipment maintenance, according to the Danish Ministry of Defense.

The Danish Ministry said that 400 million kroner will be spent on training equipment for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Significant funds will also be allocated to the naval sector and tank repairs.

"With this package, Denmark is providing 1.1 billion kroner for initiatives supporting Ukraine's defense, ranging from naval equipment to educational and training activities for Ukrainian soldiers," said Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

The ministry noted that a total of 2.7 billion kroner in aid will be provided to Ukraine in 2025. In addition to the announced package, 1.6 billion kroner will be allocated through the Ukraine fund for drones, ammunition, and equipment to be ordered from Ukraine's defense industry.

Overall, from 2022 to 2028, military aid totaling 70.3 billion kroner has already been provided or is planned.

Denmark has been actively participating in the PURL program (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List), an initiative that enables NATO countries to fund US weapons deliveries to Ukraine. Together with Sweden and Norway, Denmark financed a $495 million package, including ammunition for HIMARS.

US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker, a day before the new Ramstein meeting in Belgium, announced that new arms deliveries to Ukraine through the NATO PURL program would be announced.
