Once Ukraine receives F-16 fighter jets, the Ukrainian military will be able to shoot down many more Russian missiles and aircraft. Moreover, the number of Russian soldiers destroyed will also increase, states Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"F-16 jets are in Ukraine. This means that there will be more destroyed occupants. There will be more downed missiles and planes used by Russian criminals to attack Ukrainian cities," said Syrskyi.

The Commander-in-Chief thanked the Ukrainian allies for this decision and emphasized that the effective use of modern aircraft means, first and foremost, saving the lives of Ukrainian servicemen.

"I am grateful to the President, the Minister of Defense, and everyone who worked 24/7 to ensure that F-16s appeared in our skies. This is another important step towards our victory," he emphasized.

Today, on August 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed the first F-16 fighters that have already arrived in Ukraine.

It is not yet known how many planes Ukraine has received, but The Times recently reported that Ukraine allegedly received six planes from the Netherlands. However, The Economist claims that the first 10 F-16s have arrived in Ukraine.
