Ukrainian army chief speaks with US army commander in Europe
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi spoke with the Commander of the US Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli. They talked about the situation at the front, according to General Oleksandr Syrskyi.
“The main topic of our conversation was the current situation at the front. The enemy, using its numerical superiority in personnel and equipment, continues intensive assault operations in several directions,” he says.
According to Syrskyi, heavy fighting of high intensity is currently taking place along the entire frontline.
“That is why in a conversation with General Cavoli I once again emphasized the importance of strengthening military and technical support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the general says.
During the conversation, the generals also exchanged views on the international community's immediate and tough response to the involvement of North Korean troops in combat operations on the side of Moscow.
Situation at front in Ukraine
As of October 31, there were 145 combat engagements at the frontline. Most of the fighting was recorded in the Kurakhove sector.
As noted in the report of the Institute for War Studies, Russian troops advanced in the Kursk region of Russia, east of Kupiansk, southeast of Chasiv Yar, towards Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and near the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
