What preceded it
One of the areas where Ukrainian soldiers have been successful recently is Kherson. Earlier, analysts reported that the marines managed to take and hold three bridgeheads there. Later, the authorities began to cautiously talk about the successes of the fighters.
Thus, the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, speaking at the Hudson Institute in Washington, said that the Ukrainian military had managed to cross the Dnipro River and gain a foothold on the left bank of the Kherson region.
In addition, analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War also concluded that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had established themselves on the left bank in the Kherson region.
Also, the Southern Defense Forces reported that on a line from 3 to 8 kilometers along the coast, the Armed Forces were pushing back the enemy, and the front line was "quite moving."
Presumably, the Marines currently hold at least three bridgeheads on the left bank: in the area of the Antonivskyi road bridge and the railway bridge, as well as the settlement of Krynky.
