In the Avdiivka direction, a battalion command post of one of the Russian Armed Forces brigades was liquidated. Ukrainian troops covered Russia's artillery headquarters, according to the Third Assault Brigade of Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"The location of the command staff of the enemy unit, against which the Third Assault Brigade is fighting in the Avdiivka direction, has been eliminated. A D-30 howitzer was also destroyed in Avdiivka itself, which could have been used by the enemy to reach our positions and equipment," the statement says.
According to the Ukrainian military, the control center of a battalion of one of the brigades of the Russian Armed Forces was discovered by scouts of the UAV battalion.
"After confirming the target, the fighters of the 2nd artillery battalion "Martial Family" started to destroy it and delivered powerful artillery strikes with 152-mm caliber," the soldiers say.
Avdiivka direction
According to the Institute of War Studies, Russian troops have advanced west of Avdiivka and in the Zaporizhzhia region. They are deploying tactical and operational reserves to participate in the fighting in the east, trying to increase the pace of offensive operations.
In particular, the Russian occupants have been trying to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops in the areas of three brigades in the Avdiivka direction for several days. Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the area and made a series of decisions.
