Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Melitopol direction destroyed 241 occupiers

During the past 24 hours on October 7, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 241 terrorists in the Melitopol direction. Additionally, two Russians surrendered and were taken into custody, reports the press service of the Joint Forces Operation in the Tavriya direction.
Russian terrorists:
- 11 airstrikes;
- engaged in 36 combat encounters;
- carried out 610 artillery bombardments.
Avdiivka and Maryinka directions
The enemy attempted more than 20 unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
Shakhtarsk direction
Our soldiers repelled approximately 10 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Vodiane and Zolota Niva in the Donetsk region.
Melitopol direction
"The Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction. Our soldiers are inflicting losses on the occupying forces, consolidating their positions on the occupied lines, conducting demining and reconnaissance," the press service reports.
Achievements of our soldiers
The missile and artillery units carried out 1212 fire missions. Enemy losses amounted to 241 personnel, including 2 Russian occupiers who surrendered as prisoners of war.
Additionally, 21 units of terrorist military equipment were destroyed:
- 2 tanks;
- 8 armored combat vehicles (ACVs);
- 3 artillery systems;
- 4 UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles);
- 4 units of automotive equipment.
"Also, one important enemy object was destroyed," the press service added.
Enemy losses at war
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the past day, on October 7, our military eliminated another 580 Russian terrorists. Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, Russia has lost over 282,000 personnel.
