Russian troops launched 2 Shaheds unmanned aerial vehicles within the territory of Ukraine. This is one of their tactical actions, reports Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine.

According to Natalia Humeniuk, this is one of the elements of the enemy's tactical actions. The Russians are attempting to deplete the air defense system and continue reconnaissance of positions.

"In our responsibility zone, it was characteristic that these drones passed, trying to bypass the air defense systems almost simultaneously with the attack by KABs... And this time, again, the enemy directed them toward the Beryslav region, where the infrastructure is already practically destroyed. The hospital and banking institutions came under fire," said Humeniuk.

The Chief of the Unified Coordination Press Center also mentioned that the difference in the drones is in their markings.

"During attacks on the remnants, we identify that there is a difference between the drones supplied from abroad and those they manufacture on their territory. They specially mark them," noted Humeniuk.

Shahed attacks on Ukraine

Russian army regularly launches Shahed drones over Ukraine. They are often launched from Crimea and also from the direction of the Sumy region.

On the evening of January 3, drones were spotted in the Mykolaiv region.

Also, a drone attack occurred on January 2. During the night, Russians launched 35 attack UAVs over Ukraine. Air defense forces managed to shoot down all targets.
