Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy another Russian aircraft
Ukrainian forces have shot down yet another Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber in the east, marking the eleventh such incident in February alone, according to the Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
According to Oleshchuk, today, February 29, is a date that comes once every four years but has become all too familiar to Russians as another day of losing yet another aircraft.
"Minus one Su-34 on the Eastern front! Thanks for the good work! Victory on the ground is forged in the sky!" the general remarked.
Destruction of Russian aircraft
The Su-34 aircraft destroyed by Ukrainian forces today marks the eleventh aircraft lost by the occupiers since February 17. It was on this day that the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed three Russian aircraft - two Su-34 fighter-bombers and one Su-35 fighter jet. These losses also occurred on the eastern front.
On the 27th and 26th of February, two more Su-34s were confirmed shot down. Additionally, on February 23, sources from RBC-Ukraine within the Defense Forces reported the downing of a Russian A-50 aircraft over the Sea of Azov. This marks the second A-50 aircraft destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the beginning of the war.
