Over the past day, Ukrainian troops eliminated over 400 Russian occupants in the Tavria direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 68 units of military equipment and 226 enemy drones of various types, according to the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces.

In total, the enemy conducted 50 air strikes, 2 missile attacks, 53 combat engagements, and 1,004 artillery shellings in the operational area of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of troops.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders.

Thus, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 26 attacks in the area of Avdiivka and another 11 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region over the past day.

In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian troops continue to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where 16 attacks were repelled.

The enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions in the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia directions.

Russian losses

The total losses of the Russian army in manpower amounted to 453 troops.

Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 68 pieces of enemy military equipment, including:

  • 5 tanks;
  • 21 armored personnel carriers;
  • 14 artillery systems
  • 2 MLRS;
  • 18 vehicles;
  • 3 units of special equipment.

Ukrainian Defense Forces also destroyed 5 enemy ammunition depots.

In addition, 226 UAVs of various types were neutralized or destroyed.

Frontline situation

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 88 combat engagements took place in Ukraine's frontline over the last day. The enemy continues its attempts to capture Avdiivka and is unsuccessfully trying to regain lost positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.

In particular, according to the Institute of War Studies, the Ukrainian Armed Forces regained previously lost positions about 3 km northwest of Horlivka. Positional fighting continues in many parts of the frontline.

Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Wednesday morning, January 31, amounted to 1,090 occupants, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to 385,230. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 51 artillery systems, 32 armored personnel carriers, and 40 vehicles.
