Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief highlights key military priority
Drones are one of the priorities for the army, as in the realities of modern combat operations the number of drone strikes is on par with artillery, according to Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Syrskyi says that he had held a regular working meeting with the most successful commanders of UAV combat units - Madiar (Magyar - ed.), Achilles, Farmatsevt (Pharmacist - ed), Flint, Dym (Smoke - ed.), Charlie, Guru, K-2, and others.
According to Syrskyi, "Our task is to be one step ahead of the enemy both in terms of defeating drones and protecting ourselves from them."
According to him, the most important task of technology and innovation is to save the lives of the Ukrainian military.
"Unmanned systems are one of the most dynamic areas where changes occur every day and we have no right to lag. We have a clear action plan," writes Syrskyi.
In late June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree approving the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to establish the Unmanned Systems Forces in Ukraine.
