In the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces captured more than a dozen Russian soldiers. After 5 days of fierce fighting, the Russian occupiers raised the white flag themselves, as they were left without water and ammunition, according to the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A total of 13 Russian soldiers were taken prisoner by the separate mechanized steppe brigade of the Land Forces. 4 of the prisoners were seriously injured.

Fighting in Kursk region

For more than a month now, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been conducting an operation in the Kursk region. At the end of August, Ukrainian soldiers controlled 1,300 square kilometers and about a hundred settlements in the region.

On September 12, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia had launched a counter-offensive in the Kursk region.

The Ukrainian military has also recently managed to make another breakthrough in the direction of Veseloe. As the expert explained, this was due to successful strikes against the Russians and another factor.

Meanwhile, Roman Pohorilyi, an analyst at the DeepState platform, said that the Russian occupiers were surrounded in one of the areas of the region.
